About Punditry
The case for
rigorous
opinion.
Punditry was founded on a single frustration: that commentary had become cheap, fast, and consequence-free. We set out to build something different — analysis that earns its conclusions.

Our mission
"To produce the most carefully reasoned analysis available on the political, economic, and social questions that shape how power is exercised in the world."
We publish daily briefings, long-form reports, and interactive data tools across politics, macroeconomics, climate policy, and geopolitics. Every piece is reviewed by at least two subject-matter specialists before publication.
Our subscribers include senior policymakers, fund managers, journalists, and anyone else whose decisions depend on understanding the world accurately. We write for people who read carefully.

How we work
Principles, not postures.
01
Earned authority
We cite every source. We publish our data. We correct mistakes prominently. Expertise is demonstrated, not claimed.
02
Calibrated certainty
We say "we think" when we think, "we know" when we know, and "we don't know" when we don't. Confidence without evidence is noise.
03
Structural independence
No advertiser relationships. No government affiliations. Our only commercial obligation is to readers who find us worth paying for.
04
Productive disagreement
Our editorial staff disagree with each other constantly. We publish those disagreements because the map of a debate is more useful than a single verdict.

Daniel Osei
Head of Research
Previously at Reuters and later two newsroom-tech startups. Priya translates editorial ambition into the tools analysts and readers actually use to understand the world.
Priya Nair
